Kate Swartz
Coach Kate Swartz has been the Orca's Head Coach since 2007. In that time the team has grown from 30 kids to over 100. She has been a competitive swimmer and a swim coach for over 30 years. Previously, she swam competitively for the Cincinnati Marlins, an Olympic Development Team. She has been involved in developing swimmers from 5 years old to adults for most of the last 10 years and is also the Oakleaf High School Swim Team Head Coach.
Kate's focus for the Orcas is to provide an environment where children can learn to love the sport of swimming by teaching them proper stroke techniques, developing endurance and how to grow as an individual while being part of a larger team.

Coach Amanda bio
She has been a competitive swimmer since she was 8 years old. After making it to State Championships each of her high school years, she earned a scholarship to Florida International. to swim at the college level. Amanda has coached at the high school level and club level for several years prior to joining the Orca Pod.
Currently, she teaches language arts at Florida Virtual School.

Fall Swim League
We will soon begin the Fall Orcas team (part of Crown Novice League) that will be taking place at the Plantation Oaks Competition Pool.
Practices will begin Sept 6 and will be weekly on Mon, Tues, Thurs from 6-7:30p.
